CCIE Wireless Certification
CCIE Wireless Certification
The Cisco CCIE Wireless certification validates a professional's ability to design, manage, and make mission-critical and business-critical wireless network decisions.
Passing the Cisco CCIE Wireless certification exams demonstrates a broad theoretical understanding of wireless networking as well as a solid understanding of Cisco wireless LAN technologies.
Prerequisites
Although there are no formal requirements for Cisco CCIE certification, candidates should have a thorough understanding of the exam topics as well as three to five years of work experience before attempting certification. Students would benefit from being CCNP for Wireless, but it is not required.

You must first pass a two-hour written qualification exam covering concepts and equipment commands before scheduling the lab exam.
Step two is the CCIE Wireless Lab Exam.
The eight-hour lab exam validates your wireless expert-level network professional job skills and technical knowledge. You must pass the lab within three years of passing the written exam to obtain certification. Your first attempt in the laboratory must be completed within 18 months.
Recertification
Every two years, CCIEs are required to recertify.
You can renew your certification by:
Earn the required credits through the Cisco Continuing Education Program, or pass any current CCIE Written Exam OR CCIE Lab Exam, or pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.
If you do not complete your recertification by the deadlines, your CCIE certification will be suspended, and you and your employer will lose the advantages of being an expert. After that, you have one year to reactivate your CCIE status before it becomes inactive and you must restart the certification process.
